Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos como Estrategia de Innovación Educativa

Resumen

El presente artículo de revisión sistemática tiene como objetivo analizar el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP) como estrategia de innovación educativa, evaluando su impacto en el desarrollo de competencias del siglo XXI, el fortalecimiento del aprendizaje significativo y las condiciones necesarias para su implementación efectiva. La revisión se realizó siguiendo la metodología PRISMA 2020, mediante la búsqueda de literatura científica publicada entre 2014 y 2024 en bases de datos académicas reconocidas. Se aplicaron criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se realizaron filtros por idioma, relevancia y calidad metodológica, y se extrajeron datos para sintetizar hallazgos y categorías de análisis. Los resultados indican que el ABP se sustenta en marcos teóricos constructivistas y socioculturales, y se asocia con mejoras en la motivación, el rendimiento académico y el desarrollo de habilidades como pensamiento crítico, colaboración, creatividad y competencias digitales. No obstante, se identifican desafíos como la falta de formación docente, rigidez curricular, insuficiencia de recursos y limitaciones en la evaluación tradicional. Se concluye que el ABP constituye una estrategia pedagógica con alto potencial transformador, siempre que su implementación sea coherente, contextualizada y respaldada por políticas educativas e institucionales que favorezcan la innovación.
