Ansiedad y Depresión en Adolescentes

Resumen

El presente artículo de revisión tiene como objetivo analizar de manera sistemática la literatura científica sobre la ansiedad y depresión en adolescentes escolarizados, identificando su prevalencia, factores de riesgo, manifestaciones clínicas, impacto académico y social, así como estrategias de prevención e intervención. La revisión se desarrolló siguiendo la metodología PRISMA 2020, mediante la identificación, selección y análisis de estudios empíricos, revisiones sistemáticas, informes institucionales y literatura académica publicada en los últimos 15 años. Se aplicaron criterios de inclusión y exclusión específicos para asegurar la calidad y relevancia de los artículos, y se organizaron los hallazgos en cinco categorías de análisis: prevalencia, factores de riesgo, manifestaciones y comorbilidad, impacto académico y social, y estrategias de prevención e intervención. Los resultados indican que entre el 20% y 30% de los adolescentes presentan síntomas clínicamente significativos de ansiedad y depresión, con mayor prevalencia en mujeres y en contextos de alta presión académica o vulnerabilidad social. Se evidencia una alta comorbilidad entre ambos trastornos, que afecta significativamente el rendimiento escolar y la integración social. Las intervenciones escolares basadas en habilidades socioemocionales, detección temprana y participación familiar muestran eficacia en la mitigación de síntomas y la promoción del bienestar emocional.
